Today I can honestly say that my skin has finally graduated from being its worst version to now being at its brightest and clearest. The journey though much like any course was paved with hardships. And probably that is why I became a blogger. To help not only myself but also other people to graduate from bad skin days. I do hope you are taking advantage of all the help I have given in the past. But if it's your first time here then allow me to help you right at this moment and shed some light on some of your skin problems.

But I hate how hot it is this time of the year! I gotta give it to a lot of beauty brands who are making such great products and making the heat a lot more bearable!

1. Benefit Cosmetics Fake Up Crease Control Hydrating Concealer: Definitely the next big thing that happened to the under eyes. After all, who wouldn't want an undereye concealer that doesn't crease and accentuate the fine lines around your eyes? It's skin care and makeup in one so this is definitely something that you'll love this summer! Say buh-bye to creasing and hello to bright eyes all season long.
2. BYS Glitter For Nails Polish Kit: OMG! This has got to be my favorite polish this season! Once I tried it, I was hooked. It was launched last week but I got a chance to sample it a week in advance and it's easy to use! It comes with a polish, a pot of cosmetic-grade glitter and a brush. Texture 3D nails are in and BYS just made it more accessible for us to try it. Woot! The best shade this season is Bling it On, it's bright as the noon day sun!
3. Shu Uemura UV Underbase Mouse with SPF30 PA++: This has been a ultimate favorite of mine since I tried it 3 years ago. If you hate piling on products on your face during Summer, then get this one since it acts as both base and sunblock. it dries into a semi-matte finish. Once topped off with a matte powder, you'll notice how smooth and even your skin's become. I've been using this the past days just so I can skip my foundation and I'm loving the coverage. Expensive, yes. But totally worth it!
4. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum: The latest innovation from Chez Lauder. It's an amazing addition to your nightly rituals.Sun exposure, pollution and overall unhealthy lifestyle can be bad for the skin. Especially to our eyes. If you've been partying or working too hard and your eye creams can only do so much, try this one out. Use this first before your eye cream and notice a good change in your puffy undereyes.
5. Snoe Beauty Hair Heroes Super Fresh Texturizing Beach Waves: Snoe's rolling out imrpressive hair products this season and this one I can't resist. I'm loving my beach wave curls and this amazing products helps with maintaining the curl, keep it soft and smooth and at the same the peppermint is totally refreshing! Smell great, easy to take anywhere with me and it's affordable. How can I say no?
6. BYS Neon Lipgloss in Neon Pink: Is thie 80's really coming back? I'm just loving how slowly the shades of the seasons are getting brighter and brighter these days. Case in point is the new BYS Neon Lipgloss that is totally easy rock this summer! It's super bright, pigmented and the slip is smooth and soft. I am hooked with this collection!
7. Heliocare Oil-Free Compact with SPF50: Albeit expensive, I know now why the creme dela creme of Manila is hooked on this brand. Heliocare has established itself as the go-to brand for ultimate sun protection. They have ingestables, lotions and creams to help protect your skin from the harsh UVA and UVB. What they got here this time is a sunscreen/makeup in one that I think is a genius. Texture is smooth, finish matte and it does a great job evening out the skin tone. If you're the type to avoid sunscreen coz it ruins your makeup, this one is for you. It is for me!

So far, these are some of my favorite Summer finds this Season. There are more coming of course, but I'd like more time to review them. Please bear with me! My schedule's been so busy lately. I have tons in store for you and you'll definitely love them! :)

How was your September? Mine was pretty hectic and there was a lot of sleepless nights. My skin's pretty bad, add to that that I'mm acquiring quite a baggage... and I don't mean emotional, I mean one that is much harder to deal with.

Eyebags! Urgh!

As much as I try to be jolly, I just really hate seeing eye bags. It makes me feel that I'm not caring for myself. That I'm not getting enough sleep and I've been eating lots of salty food.

So no choice but to try something that can give me temporary relief from this beauty dilemma.



Hello, Zero Kuma Concealer! Goodbye puffy dark undereyes! Good riddance.. well as least for a few hours.

I'm currently using K Palette's 0 Kuma Concealer in Type 2.

Type 2 is the lightest shade among the three shades of Kuma Concealer and it has a yellowish tint that is great for drank circles. It has Vitamin C, Chamomile and Prune Extracts to tame down the problem areas.

Yes, it's a concealer + skin care in one. :)


Given that it has skin care properties, it was just the right amount of creaminess and it dries into a matte finish. Downside is that it dries up to fast that you have less time to blend it. It stays on for good 2 to 3 hours before it shows sign of creasing. Less is more to avoid this.

Did you know that Kuma means bear in Japanese? The word is often used to describe dark undereye circles similar to that of a bear. K Palette added the symbol of zero to share that with this concealer, there will be no more dark under eyes.

Cool huh? :)

How are you starting your October? Hopefully, with a lot more sleep and less stress! But then again, if it can't be helped, let's not make it too obvious and use some concealer! :) It's definitely a life saver!

1. It's fast. -- Of course at the beginning, you will still need to get use to the steps. But believe me when I say that it becomes easier as days go by.
2. You can stop at anytime --- Ever have that experienced when your service/cab is already at your house and you are still halfway done? Well, Bobbi Brown's 10 Step Beauty, you can stop at anywhere and you can go out already looking presentable.
3. You probably already have most of the makeup you need in your stash. -- Since Bobbi Brown's makeup philosophy is simplicity in makeup looks, you probably have some if not makeup of tools you need in the 10 Step Beauty Program. There's the underye concealer, foundation, powder makeup, eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow pencil and blush. So this eliminate you from spending so much except for some key items you need to look well-polished like concealer correcter, blemish concealer, gel liner and bronzer.
4. It's a sure proof way of looking fabulous. -- I am not kidding when I say that you'll be loving your flawless look after doing this 10 beauty steps. As with loving how we look, confidence immediately follows and imagine what you can do with that surge of that.

Doing the undereye concealer is probably one of the most important things that this workshop has instilled in me. Which I tend to forget several times in makeup application. As we grow older, we forget that our appearance bear the results of our stress. Hence, the puffy and dark under eyes. With the help of a corrector and a shade lighter concealer.

I thought that I wouldn't like the tinted moisturizer, given my propensity for anything matte. Boy oh boy was I wrong. When they say that the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, they weren't kidding. Even with my oily skin type, I was able to fall deeply in love with this. But yes, it doesn't really last as long and my oilies started showing up an hour or two after application. But it was like velvet upon velvet on my skin. Oh love! Indeed it was love to have it. Like a soft cashmere against my skin.

That is why I find this primer a bit helpful with keeping my makeup stay in place. But of course, with an oily face as mine (my face is really really really hella oily), this primer was still help enough to keep everything in place. It smells like a floral which I think I would need getting use to but nonetheless, a great addition to this kit.

The first time I've seen this, I was just giddy like a child since I'm one to love anything that has dual purpose, much more that this had three! There's the secret camouflage for the blemishes, the secret concealer for undereye and a setting powder! It was like winning the lotto! And it does conceal well. The left part is more for blemishes but I use for the undereye as its lighter. The right part I also use for that part but I mix both and then then spread it even on to the reddish parts of my face like corners of the nose and lips. But lazy me, doesn't do this often. I just use the lighter part fo my undereyes and I'm quite good to go.

What I love:

• it's easy to blend with just using my ring finger
• it's easy to blend with using a concealer brush
• affordable at Php229 ($5 approx)
• matches my skin tone (or at least the shade I need for my under eyes)
• dries into a matte finish
• really brightens up the eyes
• can be a nice substitute for liquid concealer
• lessens puffiness
• roll-on applicator makes it easier for applying the product to the eyes
• cool-effect that the product gives

What I don't:

• Not for heavy-duty concealing (if one buys this for this purpose, buy a regular cream concealer instead)
