#WalangPOREever | Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Pore Minimizing Makeup is here (swatch, before and after)

The holidays was brutal on my body and soul but not on my skin thankfully. I did a bit of hiatus on makeup and relied solely on Benetint and Goof Proof to keep me looking hoooman! But you know what? It was refreshing with less to no beakouts. I would usually get a few huge cystic acne a few days before I get my period but my skin was pretty much tame the whole time.

Goes to show that what you put on your skin matters! Even my pores were tamer. Ugh! I hate my pores. Not that I would wish for a Korean flawless skin but I wouldn’t mind it disappearing for awhile.

So when the girls rounded up to meet with Jheng (remeber her? Iambrigitte.com?) I decided to whip out the new Benefit POREfessional Pore Minimizing Makeup. Not to forget that I can’t live without their Mattte Rescue Gel, but I also have love and hate relationship with POREfessional Pore Minimizing Primer. I’m not wishing for the stars. I know how huge my pores are especially on the nose area so I was surprise how nice this makeup turned out to be.

Check out how it performed here on my before and after photos:

I followed the simple step-by-step of the The Porefessional routine!

Step 1: Apply Benefit The Porefessional Matte Rescue Gel - this conditions the skin. Personally, you can go ahead with foundation after this.
Step 2: Apply THE Porefessional Face Primer. - there's a reason why this sells like hotcakes and beauty gurus call this their HG primer. it smooths out the skin for a even contour.
Step 3: In a pouncing motion, apply the The POREfessional Pore Minimizing Makeup.
Step 4: Set it all with our Ol' Reliable Agent Zero Shine. Bring this along for quick touch-up just in case the oilies peak through.

I love foundations with runny textures that packs a lot of pigments. The last thing my pores need is thick soup of foundation that does nothing to cover up my pores and blemishes. Benefit’s Pore Minimizing Makeup is simple but it covers well but feels light and ariy when applied. I remember how little Donna had to apply to show the shade when we were choosing what shade suited my skin.

As expected The Porefessional's Pore Minimizing Makeup isn’t a heavy-duty foundation for my oily skin. It has that Light-Medium coverage enough to make your pores exit but not enough to cover up really dark acne marks. Considering I have a lot of them, I’m fairly surprise how well it covered most that I have.

Many will love the complete foundation and application packaging. But for those who are used to brushes or blending sponges, you won’t find a lot of use with the sponge tip applicator that comes with it. Great for travel though. Good news: You can take the sponge off to clean it! Yey!

The PRESS button is there for a reason. Use it! Not that I felt stupid for a minute there when I tired to tap the foundation onto the back of hand but it gives you control on how much product you need.

With 15 ml of product, don’t think this is like your regular foundation. Nope. This is a little more special than that. Apply only on parts of your face that needs the most pore coverage. Keep your regular foundation near for a complete full-on face makeup. But on a daily basis you want to look flawless, just grab this one. Tap, tap, tap and set. And you can be sure your pores a buh-bye!

Think of The Porefessional Pore Minimizing Makeup as a base primer with a tint. It will cover all the unnecessary pores and other tsismis-ness but not the darkest ones or the huge ones. YOu need your Bo-ing or Erase Paste for that. But feel free to bring this along with you just in case your stubborn pores sneak out. Don’t forget to set it The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine.

So you really need this?

It’s makeup! Of course need is too much of a word to use. But if you want to go filter-free and zap those pores or at the very least keep is a few hours away from a appearing then YES, you need this.

And if you’re like me who thinks primer and foundation combined are not enough to cover them pesky man-hole cave of pores you have, then this can become your life! And Php1,700 is a cheap price to pay for a makeup finish you’ve been praying for your whole life.

My hunt for the pore-less looking skin does not end here. But I'm glad I was able to try this out and give you options and allow you to see there is hope for girls like us. #HangOnBes #WalangPOREever.

Time will come we will get that truly madly deeply pore-less makeup look and one that will stay unlike your lousy ex-boyfriend. #whogoat
