When L'oreal sent the Curl Impact Collagene mascara, I really just thought that it's another mascara. But guess what? It isn't.

If you ask me what completes an eye look, it's the mascara. I can't stand an uncurled, no mascara eye look when it comes to doing my makeup.

It's been years last I visited Elianto at SM The Block. The last visit I made here was when mom was still with us. SM North EDSA holds a special place in my heart. My mom and I spent a better part of my youth in this mall. It was hard not to tear up when I drove there... I didn't help that I was wearing mom's perfume.

But enough with the reminiscing and let's get on to one of the best part of the evening....

Elianto invited beauty bloggers for dinner yesterday night to talk about beauty and makeup trend. Of course, my talkativeness (again!) overpowered a few conversation. Really I need to shut up most of the time. LOL.

After the talk, we were toured at the Elianto SM The Block. I was surprise with all the new products available. They now have a mineral makeup line and new skin care lines that are made with natural products. I still remember the last time I visited, I hoarded on Buy 1 Take 1 eyeshadows. Now, they have new packaging that is fit for the chic in all of us. I really love the newly revamped items.

It was really nice to get reaquainted once again with Elianto.

Best seller of Elianto to date. I was curious to try this BB Cream. I really am not much of a fan of BB Cream since I think it aggravates my oiliness. But a variant that provides oil control seem to be promising. So far, Elianto BB Cream has the closest matcch to my skintone. All their BB Creams actually have 3 skin tones available so its easy to find your match. Yey!

Tried it first night and works really well taking off my gel eyeliner and mascara.

Both are named 14 Light Salmon. I think they revamped both colors.
I chose to get these two for it looks good as a highlighter for the browbone, nose and upper planes of the cheekbone.
I bought both so I have a yellow and pink toned. :) The one on the left would definitely look look as cheek highlighter or to just dap on top of your blush.

Elianto Fiber Mascara in Brown (Php195.00)

Can you believe that this is only Php195?
If you want a more natural application when it comes to mascara and yet want that vavavoom lashes, this is the one for you. None will notice you even have mascara on. I wouldn't be surprise if people even ask if you had lash extensions on. Boy oh boy is this waterproof, too! :)


The consistency reminds me of Lancome's usually dry mascara formula.
But in Elianto, you can actually see the fiber attached to the wand.
Kinda reminds of that CSI gadget when they try to get fingerprints. LOL.

That's it. The reviewing part will still continue. But I can tell right now how promising all these stuff I got.

Achieving this look is really simple. :)


1. Apply your favorite liquid foundation. (Clinique Superfit Foundation in Super Neutral)
2. Set your foundation with your favorite face powder or powder foundation. (Pureglow Mineral Foundation in Java Shake)
3. Apply a dab of concealer under the eyes to erase untoward darkening around it. (Skinfood Salmon Concealer)
4. Swipe your favorite blush pink toned blush (Pureglow Mineral Blush in Hot Pinch)
5. Contour cheeks to give your face that natural summer glow. (MAC Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden)


Eyebrows is a key element of this look since the colors used are bright. You don't want your brows to disappear or it will appear ashy or washed.

I used my forever reliable Modelco Eyebrowz Designer Brow Kit in Medium.


The eye makeup:
I used Alice in Wonderland Urban Decay Palette.

1. Apply your eye shadow primer to ensure that this bright look will stay put for the rest of the day. (Urban Decay Primer Potion)
2. Apply Alice eyeshadow all over your inner lid with a flat shader brush.
3. Swipe Absolem eyeshadow on to the crease with a fluffy blending brush in wiper motion.
4. Apply Sellout eyeshadow (from UDBOS II) as highlight with a big shader brush.



6. Apply Underland eyeshadow beneath your lower lids.
7. Line upper lash line with a gel liner or liquid eyeliner. (Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner)
8. Apply Mascara as usual. (HG Blinc Mascara)
9. Line lower lashline with white eye pencil. (MAC Fascinating Eye Khol)




10. Apply a pink lipstick with purple undertone to match cheeks and eyeshadows. (BYX Round Lipstick in Paris)

Ron and I are celebrating our monthsary today.
We are in our 4th year and 9th month.. it feels a lot longer for me.

I think I found my Holy Grail Mascara in the form of Blinc Mascara.

Indulge me and read the short story below.
It was one fateful Saturday when i was able to test the Blinc Mascara. My cousins and I decided to stay at my place and watch In My Life, a Filipino movie starring Vilma Santos, Luis Manzano and John Lloyd Cruz. Vilma Santos portrayed a doting and demanding mother that reminded me so much of my own mother that I couldn't help but cry from beginning to end of life. Really, I was bawling my eyes out.

Earlier that day, i put on the Blinc Mascara before leaving the house to accomplish errands. When I was crying, I was careful not to ruin my mascara as I wiped my tears away. What I didn't realize was that my shirt (yes, I was using my shirt t) didn't even have a trace of mascara on it. I used tissue to press my eyes and again, no black stain.

The mascara stayed put. It was tears(lots of it)-proof.
Imagine?

Then, I realized that in my stash rests my HG Mascara.

Blinc Mascara casts your lashes individually. It encases your lashes like when you're arms is being casted or doing paper mache. It mimics that shape of your lashes at first coat. But if you want to increase volume, simply build it up by applying more. Don't wait for it to dry.
When you're done, don't touch your lashes as it takes about a minute to dry.

This mascara may not be able to give me the vavavoom lashes but this definitely will never ever ever run, smudge, or budge. Exactly what I need when i'm out the whole day and can't afford to deal with mascara boo-boos.

If it doesn't budge, smudge, run.. how do you get rid of it?
I tried my L'oreal Gentle Lip and Eye Make up Remover with this one but it still wouldn't budge. You know what did? My facial soap and water. No kidding.
The instruction says that it could be removed by warm water. But to those who doesn't have tempered water and had to deal with one setting, what else can we do?
I washed my face with my regular facial soap (currently SAS soap from Flawless) and water. I wash my face as per usual and after that, I saw the tubes on my face and the rest fell on the sink. It was like magic. Love!!

No tugging or pulling on my eyes anymore!!

There was none!!

Mind you, I already removed my eyeshadow and gel liner here with a makeup remover.
As you can see the mascara is still in tact.
This mascara will stay with you all night and all day.
Definitely for a night owl like me or for a party girl like some of you!

I know I recommend a lot of mascara but this one is on the top list. Especially for women like me who has a lot of things to accomplish in their everyday, this mascara will definitely do its job and exceed our expectation. Great lashes without the hassle, what more could I ask for?
