Shen's Addiction: anti-aging

Everywhere I turn, I am bombarded with anti-aging. At the mall, in my e-mail subscription and even derma friends offering their services. Do I really look that old? Parang di naman! I feel like I look okay naman.

But you know, ever since I did this Fractional Laser treatment from my Derma at Skincell, my friends all of a sudden how good my skin looks! The lines daw are lesser and I look younger. #JuiceColored. Have i been blind the whole time and didn’t realize that my face is catching to my age? Que Horror!

Determined to keep my skin looking young, I quickly grabbed the new Olay Regenerist Miracle Booth Youth Pre-Essence and Micro-Slupting Cream at Sample Room! Try before you buy is my motto and so far Sample Room is helping me with a lot of my decision on what to use my hard-earned money for.

This 2 step night time regimen after cleansing is claimed to be effective in warding off formation of fine lines and wrinkles because the new Miracle Boost Youth Pre-essence boost cell energy by 35% to strengthen skin’s inherent young power and trigger self-collagen production for bouncy, younger looking skin.

What makes it to is the Golden Amino Peptide-infused essence (we like Peptides. Peptides are known to be a sure ingredient in anti-aging). Since we have natural skin collagen that slows down as we age, we need external help to kind of give it a boost.

The product itself is gel-like so it doesn’t feel sticky or goopy when you use it. After cleansing (and toning, I still use a glycolic-acid-based tonic for my acne). I apply a few drop of this enough to cover my face and neck (let’s not forget the neck). I apply it is circular and then patting motion. I wait of my skin to absorb and more on to the next step, applying the Olay Micro-Sculpting Cream.

I would usually stay away from moisturizer but I succumbed to the need for it. My skin as they say no longer has the blush of youth and even with oily skin, I still need to moisturizer. Thank God though that this doesn’t break out unlike other moisturizer. Even if it is a night cream and a little bit thicker that the others that I regularly use (mostly moisturizer made for oily skin), the thicknesssof Olay Micro-Sculpting Cream is not too heavy, greasy or that it feels like it’s sitting atop my skin. It actually feels good especially I keep in the fridge! Hahaha!

Apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks this makes for a good night cream since it already won several awards here and abroad.

What’s best is that I only have to use these at night! Why? These two were actually formulated

specifically for night time because it is during the evening when we are sleeping, resting that the repair system in our body is active. Sadly though our body’s ability to repair decreases as we age and we need to help it!

That’s where the #MiracleDuo comes in. So far, I feel like it’s a win-win situation for me and these two. I’ve only been using these for a month (already noticing subtle changes in just 5 days!) and already, I can see significant changes in my skin. I’m still oily and still get acne, but my face looks and feels plumper when every use.

I do miss those days that I can go to a facialist almost every other week. I'm one of those who akin good skin to monthly facial visits and derma care. I think it's time to talk about skin care. I've been so caught up with all the new makeup that I forget to tell some of the skin care I've been using for the past few weeks. :)

When you're loving your work, you don't notice that you only get a few hours of sleep. You're eager to wake up and don't notice that your eyes...well, they hate it. My under eyes began to darken and hello under eye circles! When I said I love bags, that didn't mean I want them under my eyes. Quite the irony, if you ask me. Something just had to give whenever you are loving something too much.
