The Makeup Look: Bobbi Brown's The New Smokey Eye

You know I just had to try it! And I did! I got the the new Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Violet Plum and I knew I had to recreate the look Bobbi did for the first ad of Katie Holmes that came out earlier this year.

Bobbi calls it The New Smokey Eye. Using only the Long-Wear Shadow Sticks, smokey eyes are now possible. No messy blending or panda eyes. I never really was that into cream shadow sticks since they tend to crease but I had to give this one a go being a fan of Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear eye makeup collection. The Cream Shadow was a holy grail product for me so I jumped on the chance to finally add shadow sticks to the list of my favorites.

I tell you, it did not disappoint. Smokey eyes are hard enough to do using a primer and eye shadow powder  how much more if you're relying on a cream product? Apparently, not that difficult at all.

Long Wear Cream Shadow Sticks are tug-free due to its creamy consistency and slides easily along the eyelids. Blending it out wasn't so hard at all. But once it settles, it stays put like a guy in love!

Naturally I had to boost it up with the Long-Wear Eye Pencil and Long-Wear Intensifying Mascara. Result? A 12 hour smokey eyes that is worthy of it's own talk show! I love it! Let me tell you, don't be fooled by it's creaminess. Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick sticks! And not the incky kind.

Consider this girl a convert!

Before jumping though on the cream shadow stick bandwagon, choose first one neutral product that you can use every day. Shades like Golden Pink, Sand Dunes, Vanilla or Bark. These pair well with all skin tones and are very much wearable.
