The truth is, law school is hard and becoming harder everyday. And everything about it seems not to worth so much when i think on it... Except one, it is my dream. To help others in a way i know how, to fight for someone's right. I never saw myself doing anything else coz i don't have the patience of a doctor or a teacher. I suck at math so any mathematical related profession like architecture is totally off the list... But law, becoming a lawyer is what i am meant to do. To be in a courtroom.i know i have the potential, the confidence and the spunk. I'm talkative, blunt and aggresive (words of other people, not mine).
Again, thank you very much... maybe, Make-up will be a future career.. maybe it will remain a hobby. But right now, i'll call it as something that makes me happy. Maybe, i will be the Pinay Elle Woods someday(wishful thinking).

Sassy Mineral Haul and Sassy Minerals New Site
They have the coolest collection on vibrant eyeshadow colors. They carry Taylormade Minerals and made it available to the eager mineral make-up addicts of the Philippines. Since I've been pretty much daring in trying out colors, i decided to order their blues, greens and no surprise here, purples. :) Thanks to lovely Jheng for adding a freebie.
I ordered sample size but kindly asked them if it could be put in jars instead. They accommodated me. I just had to pay for the the jars and viola, no sweat with baggies anymore. :) i also love their jars and I'm quite happy about it. :)
As stated by Jheng, the e/s is already very vibrant even if its not foiled. :) I just love it!

Not an easy decision, but one that i need to make.
When you are faced with a choice, what will you choose?
When both is a passion and a dream, how will you justify which comes first?
If you are in the middle of the battle, will you retreat?
Then it got me thinking (and i really hate this part), my mom has sacrificed a lot to give me the everything i have... then she is giving me this. I did feel guilty. She told me that this class might help me relax every week since she sees how much i love doing make-up. I know a lot of people think that i am shallow for pursuing make-up artistry. that compared to make-up artistry and law school, its a no-brainer. That with becoming a lawyer, i will earn more and be able able to help more people. I'm not ungrateful, i appreciate the opportunity that's given me. But i can't seem to separate both. And i am having a hard time. :(
Argh! i don't know if you can relate to this. Did you ever feel like that when you are given something, you have this sudden urge to give it back coz its too much?
The more that i think about it, the more i realized i just have to finish what i am doing now and pursue everything i want afterwards. The price that i have to pay for the silver platter might cost me much. My mom said that no matter what decision i make... she'll support me. I love you mom!
Because the bottom line is, i love law... I just hate law school. I want to be a lawyer for my family, my boyfriend and for the endless people i'll have a chance to help...i just have to put up with the learning part coz its vital in the process. And i would hate myself if this got sacrificed over something else(even if i love the art of make-up). I may not get another chance to pursue my little girl's dream of becoming a litigant if i don't finish this now...
And maybe, just maybe... when i have secured the Atty. before my name.. you'll see me adding make-up artist along to it.
So, there is it... I've made up my mind. I took back the offer given to me by mom and i will continue studying LAW with no other sideline aside from my business.
God, Thy will be done!

A Gift within a Gift
My dear R already gave me a wonderful luxurious vacation,
he also gave me this during our trip...
a set of salt-water Pearl necklace and earrings.
I was surprise (truly) that he got me this coz i already got the fresh water pearls for myself. But when manong said that he was asked to stay further so R can take a look at the pearls himself coz he wanted to buy the bigger necklace. The cheapskate in me was alarmed but the GF in me was very much flattered. I was blushing since the people were commenting on how R loves me. Even the waiters and owner of the restaurant was smiling at me, as if to say i am so lucky. Indeed, i am.
i feel like i'm Audrey Hepburn wearing this
nicest thing is my mom offered to have it set in white gold for me.
i feel so much blessed.
Thank you, R, for your love and for treating me like a queen.
just sharing,

MAC paintpot vs. udpp vs. MAC shadestick
Her question:
sis shen..quessy naman what mas type mo between paintpot and udpp?? or paintpot vs shadestick?? thanksee!
Re: MAC paintpot. It did crease on me. Its not enough to contorl my oily eyelids. Especially on a hot humid day. but i find this a great base for Matte and Neutral looks. :)
Re: Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP), i just love this products despite other negative reviews i've read on it. This by far made my eye make-up stay on for hours. However, i did notice that it takes the vibracy out of my eye makeup. Bottomoline, i would use this as a primer for all my eye base like paintpot and shadestick. :) and i use this more often than all other eyebase i have just for the reason that my eye makeup stay longer.
Re: MAC beige-ing stick. This Sis Aileen of Shadesofhue swears by. :) I love it since it gives the added vibracy to my eye look especially when i use sprakly or bright colored eyeshadow. :) Unfortunately, its not enough to use it as an eye primer since it doesn't stay long and creases a little despite minimal amount used.
Here are some of the pics for reference. :)
Natural Light: MAC paintpot in painterly, UDPP and MAC shadestick in Beige-ing.
see how Beige-ing enhances the e/s color compared to the other eye bases/primer.
With flash. :)
After a few hours w/flash. :) (sorry kinda washed out)
Paintpot: less staying power but for non-oily eyelids, this is a great product
UDPP: less vibracy but color is still on and can be visibly seen
Shadestick: staying power is marvelous and the e/s is still vibrant.
Reason to get one:
If i have to choose, i will definitely go for UDPP if your concern is to make your eye makeup longer and if you have oily eyelids like i do.
if you don't have oily eyelids you can choose Paintpot. :) this also gives your eyelids a smoother surface for added application. :)
if you want a good eyebase for your pressed or loose eyeshadows, go for MAC shadestick for adhesive purposes and added shimmer to youe eyelook. :)
How i use it:
UDPP: always after face primer (monistat, pureluxe,s5)
Shadestick: always after UDPP on all over lid to give my bright eyelook and smokey look more vibrancy. I apply one coat only to avoid creasing.
Paintpot: always after UDPP on inner lid or all over lid for a smoother base for my mattes and shimmery nuetrals or alone(innerlid).
To answer the question:
I would choose UDPP over Paintpot.
I would choose Shadestick over Paintpot.
Hope this helps you all!!
if there are questions left unanswered, feel free to write it on the comment section.
i am not claiming that UDPP is my HG forever. but it is NOW. I am still open to trying other products out there. :) Like Too Faced Shadow Insurance and L'oreal de-crease.
thanks!
much love,

Boracay Island '08 (WARNING! ULTRA picture heavy post )
THIS IS A HEAVY PICTURE POST!
MAINLY, you’ll see evidence of my vainness. :)
I’m not great with the camera so there is no fabulous views here but enough to give you an idea that BORACAY spells H-E-A-V-E-N.
As expected, our stay in
DEAR GOD blessed us with a wonderful Sunny weather. The people who treated us with utmost courtesy, we didn't feel discriminated or unimportant. Rather, we felt like a couple of semi-royalties. The food is a gastronomical experience. I definitely recommend Seabreeze Resto Buffet from Boracay Regency (you get your money's worth) and Noemi's paluto @
The activities were fun. We first tried the ATV (all-terrain vehicle). Boy is it heavy!!! And boy is it hard for someone who never tried any motor vehicle or bicycle even. but after awhile, you'll get use to it. You’ll go up
I would try ATV again next time. :) I definitely will!
The island hopping is a must for every Boracay visitor. You'll see the crocodile island, go and visit Crystal Cove and its caves, go snorkeling and feed the cute little fishes, eat fresh seafood (best crab I’ve ever eaten so far) and shop for cheap genuine pearls and precious stones. the boyfriend got me a southsea pearl necklace and earrings! Awww! They do accept credit cards for the pearls which I must say is a plus. I also got some souvenirs here for the boyfie's sisters. :)
Of course, one mustn’t forgo not getting body art like henna or glimmer tattoo. In my case I got both. They also offer hair braiding but I think it’s too much for me.
Also get a relaxing massage from the manangs for about Php200 to Php300($5 approx.) for full body massage. If you prefer bit privacy, try Pallaso Spa located at
If you're in for a late snack, try the sidewalk inihaw(grillery) for cheap price. They have dried fish, b-b-q, isaw and my fave Jumbo Hot Dog! Comes in sweet and spicy variant, our 3 jumbo hotdogs is just P120 ($2.50 approx)
Try also Bombom Bar located at Station 2 near Red Coconut, a good distance away from Boracay Regency. J They offer a lot of cocktails and great reggae music. Just the right beat for the
As for our hotel, Boracay Regency boasts of 3 pools. One with an bar that serves great cocktail that got me a little tipsy (melon something). Its one of the biggest hotel/resort in Boracay with great staff and great food! For 4 days and 3 nights, we were well fed, our room kept tidy and transfer to and fro were very well arranged.
We love Boracay so much that we extended our trip for another day. We played around the beach. We swam on the clear blue water and enjoyed the white sand. We had drinks and pizza brought to us from one of Boracay regency's many Restos. We lounged till we were toasted! Oh boy we were toasted. I'm sooo dark and my sunburn itches like crazy. But no regrets! Me loves Boracay and the
This is one fabulous trip. And it wouldn’t be possible if I don’t have a generous boyfriend who may not like me buying a lot of make-ups and clothes… but pretty much gives me what I need… a relaxing and invigorating vacation.
