We found out about the Star Margarine app and Claud is hooked. It even stops her from watching Youtube! Yey! It's called Dinosaur and Friends Story Book. It's fun web app that you can open with any of your devices. I make sure that I know what Claud uses on her iPad. It's so hard to keep track nowadays so as much as possible I try to be the one to introduce things for her to open and play with. And she's pretty happy with this one.
The look in your baby's eyes the moment she fell in love with her with Barbie. It's iconic and incredibly heart-warming. Mommies must feel this way all the time. It's so hard not to feel nostalgic and look-back on your very first glimpse of Barbie.
Given how impressionable our children are, I could not ask for better way to introduce Barbie to my child than the recently held Barbie Creative Play event at SM Mall of Asia. Nothing could have made me happier than seeing her wide-eye awe with each Barbie that she saw but more so because she learned that Barbie is one of the best way to awaken her imagination though Play.
There are a lot of ways that you can help you mold your childrens skill through Barbie dolls.
1. Designing new dress for Babrie.
When I was a kid, I remember my aunt helping us draw Barbie dresses on scratch papers. We would cut it up and tape it around Barbie. It seems a little lame, but this actually trained my dexterity.
2. Craft small things for Barbie's house.
Or make one yourself with your child. Getting crafty is easy when you have the right frame of mind. Though nothing woud mae us happier than actually having a Barbie House of our own, having a project that you and your child can work on is a great motivation. We can even involve daddy for the bigger and tougher parts of the project.
3. Story-telling/Doll Theater
I can't remember how many time we have used our Barbie dolls as heroines of our story-telling. My cousins and I would make up story and use Barbie to re-enact them. I can't remember the stories but I remember having a lot of fun. And isn't that what we hope for us kids?
Observing Claud here, I learned that she liked things in order. She puts back the small toys where they belong. So whenever she's making a mess or that she's getting too lazy to pack our things, I remind her that our house is like Barbie's house, everything should be in its proper place. She can't argue with that.
I want my daughter to see Barbie as I saw Barbie. A toy that is so fun to play with. I never dreamt to look like Barbie. I never had a distorted image of myself because she had long blonde hair, tiny waist and legs for days. Barbie was my friend, when it's gloomy and rainy outside and I can't come out to play, she and I got to go out even when we were indoors. We played bahay-bahayan, lutu-lutuan and my favorite, grocery-grocerihan. When I'm in the car and bored out of my wits and my parents wouldn't pay attention to me, I told her stories and we looked out the window and looked for Pendong Cars. I always win, of course.
But Barbie was great at taking the sidelines. To her, I'm the bida and she's there just heping get to where I need to get to.
I want the same for Claud and at the same time I want more. Bt we dot to admit that moms do get tired and they need to work. It's great to know that I can leave her with her Barbies because I know she sees them the same way I do. A friend.
This look! I feel I did a good job when she gifts me with her sweet smile and embrace.
Love you, Claudey Pie.
We cling to the time that our babies remain babies but once the "amoy araw" sets in... we have to accept that our babies are growing up. Just this afternoon, my daughter came home from her Moving Up Ceremony practice smelling amoy araw. Juskolord! Ang sakit tanggapin that my cherub of a baby girl is indeed moving and growing up. Rightly so now that she needs me less to take care of her.
I sometimes feel I'm not enough for her. Seeing Claud being so independent lately makes me feel proud and sad at the same time! 😖 With a new baby coming our way, I've been trying my hardest to spend more time with her and just cling on to her baby years. As a parent, we can only hope that we are at our best and doing our best when it comes to our children. I live for the moments that we get to cuddle, to play together and spend time together. Every moment I get to spend with her, I relish. Every chance I get na panggiggilan siya, I'll take it.
I read this somewhere... "The nights are long but the years are short." It's happening to me. I'm astounded by the fact that my first born is growing up so fast.
It's a good thing that I have the whole collection of Bambini Baby Colognes to bring back the amoy baby feels with Claud! So after I changed Claud to her comfortable pambahay clothes, I chose my favorite Bambini Baby Cologne in Morning Tickles freshen up my hyperactive little big baby. And in an instant gusto ko na siya ulit yakapin. LOL! I love that the scent stays on longer than regular colognes.
Bambini means babies in Italian and it couldn't be a more appropriate name for a brand who brings refreshing scents to us mommies and our little bambini. It's nice that even if my children get older, a whiff of these scents will always remind of their baby/toddler times.
And since Bambini come in cute 25mls, I can tuck this inside her backpack so I can make sure she smells like a baby all day. This is probably what got me with the whole collection coz of the convenience of being able to freshen through out the day!
And who doesn't love the packaging and design. The mom and baby animals always gets me and Claud gushing, not to mention that it also becomes a teaching tool for me to tell her the names of baby animals.
Claud also calls the different sizes Daddy, Mommy and Claudey. How cute, right? She also imitates the animals sound on the cologne
I just love the smell of Bambini Baby Colognes that I use them myself. My favorite on me is Ocean Kisses. Lakas maka-bagets! It's fresh out of bathroom experience everytime! Of course, if my baby girl can still smell like a baby then I think I can, too! Hehe! It's been our ritual to apply cologne on each other in the morning before she heads out to school. Can't believe she's going to be in kindergarten next year.
I wrote my baby girl, Claud, a letter. It's a little something that I would like to share with her because I know that the days ahead will be so different from the past three years.
Dear Claud,
Malapit na dumating si Baby Sharkie sa buhay natin. Everyday, I feel that you are getting ready to take the position of being a big sister from an only child. I know deep inside it will be hard to share mommy and daddy but I know that you're also excited as we are for your new sibling. Already you have shown us how eager you are to be a big sister every time you see a baby. You are the most congenial little girl I know. You have no apprehension making friends, approaching people and just being your jolly self.
I see you growing up and I see a perfect little girl. You have exceeded so much of my expectations and I am so proud of you. Kahit minsan ang kulit-kulit mo at ang pilya-pilya mo, I know this is jsut because you are curious and you are having a great time. Thank you for always catching my attention when mommy gets so busy. Because truly I would rather spend gigil and cuddly moments with you. I love you stealing kisses and demanding hugs from. Never stop doing that, ha?
We hope that we were able to make you feel how important you are to us the past few months and how we will always strive to give you and baby sharkie all the time we can.
To me and your daddy, you will always be our little princess. You make everything bright and everything right. We love you so much!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

I only knew about it when I went to Kidzooona Walter Mart Makati. We went to check out the newly built toddler play area and it's sooo nice! Kidzoona is our favorite play place in the Metro. I love that everything there is padded and it’s always so clean and oh-so colorful. I consider these playplaces as a sort of adventure for Claud. Like other kids, she marvels at this place. It's a great place to bond with your kids.
Kidzoona is operated by Aeon Company here in the Philippines and it’s birthplace is in Japan. Did you know that they have over more than 10 locations now? With SM Fairview being its largest? It puts to shame the 4 locations that we visited. Ang dami pa pala naman pwede puntahan. Hahaha!
Kidzooona is what they call an Edutainment place. I have to agree coz every visit is fun one and I get to teach Claud a lot of things whenever we are there. I see Claud grow with every visit and every corner seems to be a place that truly entices curiosity. As a parent, I advocate learning while playing. I’ve proven time and again that letting her experience things encourgaes her more to learn and appreciate her surrounding. Imitating real-life situations prove to be a better learning technique that improves her knowledge. I love that learning became fun for her at this age.
This is the new toddler area which is actually what I've alwayds wanted in Kidzooona. We only got to visit Kidzooona when CLaud turned 2 because we thought that it's for bigger kids. I'm glad that they are putting more areas that toddlers can play in so families don't have to go elsewhere.
Here's an SDE video of her enjoying Kidzooona Walter Mart:
Sample Room really have the best samples especially for moms like me! They are always front and center to give us mommas a chance to try out things that could and are good for our babies. Like this new Belo Baby Talc-Free Powder. My friends just asked me about them and I was happy to share that they can go ahead try it over at SampleRoom.ph for free!
Anyway, so I got myself a sample of it and it's probably my most favorite out of all the Belo Baby products because I love using baby powder. It's a staple for me. Friends have been bugging me to stop using it but it's sooo hard when it's ingrained in my daily routine.
That's why I was psyched to know that Belo Baby is talc-free! Now I won't feel bad using baby powder on Claud and myself. This new Belo Baby Talc Free Baby Powder only has two ingredients: Certified Natural Rice and Maize Starch. It contains NO Paraben, Phthalates, Gluten, and Talc.
If your child's skin is hihgly sensitive then those I mentioned above are the things you don't want in your baby powder. But we all know how soothing baby powder is especially for diaper rashes, sunburn and bungang-araw. So it's quite great you now have an option for it!
Belo Baby Talc-Free Baby Powder comes in a pretty packaging. Unlike your other baby powder that you have to get a separate container and powder puff, with this one you don't have to. The puff is more cosmetic kind for me that it is a traditional powder puff but that's alright. As you can see, my Claud had no problem using it. The sifter is a smart addition because we all have mishaps of topling our powder puff and making a mess coz of it.
The kiddo rarely uses powder especially now that she's potty trained so I'm using this more now than she does. It's a pretty cool powder and it doesn't really aggravate my asthma. It sure is a nice thing to have at home because now Claud could make use of this instead of my actual makeup!
We love the new Belo Baby Powder. Surely one of the best they've made from this brand in my opinion. Price isn't that bad either at P219 for a 65 grams of product and a pretty packaging.
If this review does not convince to give this try it, go ahead and take a sample at

Here's the dear daughter looking so good at some of Hello Comet's designs. We love the romper sooo much but the daddy got a little shookt when he learned that it's worn without an inner top. LOL! Poor daddy. But yeah, we wear this utside with a tanktop or shirt. It's only during this shoot that I stayed true to the style. Isn't it cute?
Gotta ghetto up the style on the pants. I remember wearing my jogging pants same way during my TLC-fanning phase.
So adorbs!!
So glad her shoes from matches her outfit.
This bubble dress is super nice. It's garterized on the bottom so it would hug Claud's legs. It reminded me of my bloomers in Elementary at Holy Spirit.
She's really ahd to shoot. She was getting pissed at this point and refuses to cooperate.
Thank got for burst mode, I got a decent one right here.
Yup! She's pissed.
Walking away now!
