Foundation Review | Avon Ideal Luminous Liquid Foundation and Avon Dual Powder Foundation

When I received Avon's Ideal Luminious line, I didn't think much of it. As a girl with combination to oily skin, I am quick to dismiss (almost like on autopilot) whenever I see luminious, luminating, dewy finish or the likes when I see them on the packaging, thinking that it's not the right fit for my skin type or much worst, aggravate my already oily skin. I was scared that I would look like a frying pan, all oiled up for cooking eggs. But I took a chance, tested it and saw what an amazing effect these two give!

For proof, read up! I tell you, this is not the post you should miss!

I found out how great this line is when I picked up the Avon Ideal Luminous  Dual Powder Foundation to set my liquid foundation while I was swatching a lipstick collection. When I saw the photos, I couldn't believe how flawless my face looked! My pores looked smaller, fine lines on my forehead disappeared and my under eye baggies looked almost blurry. I didn't use a concealer and yet my blemishes weren't that visible.

It looked as those I either photoshopped all my skin's imprefection or I used a filter! But I didn't!

So, I decided to use both products, the Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation with SPF 15 PA++ with the Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Dual Powder Foundation to see if I'll get the same result!

And I did!! :) So, before I show the swatches of the products, let's get down to business and let me show you the transition of my skin from bare to flawlessly radiant looking skin!

As you can see, Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation alone reduced the redness around my face, primarily the sides of the nose and chin. It effectively evened out my skintone without the help of a concealer. The small bumps of acne didn't seems so visible. Same goes for my under eyes.

When topped and set with Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Dual Powder Foundation, my face came to life. Where the sun hits my face, it seemed more luminous, blurring out my very large pores. It further reduced the redness and pigmentation on my face. It even looked as if I contoured and lightened my entire face.

And here's the finished look!

Radiant looking skin that I didn't think my skin would ever experience! The combination of Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation with SPF 15 PA++ and Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Dual Powder Foundation with bright sunshine on me gave my skin the glowy dewy look.

And how for some semi-decent swatches and my thoughts about the these wonder two!

Avon Ideal Luminous Liquid Foundation in Nude | Php399
Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation with SPF 15 PA++ provides full coverage. For dark spots, some blemishes, large pores and fine line and wrinkles, covering these up won't be too hard with this foundation. It has a slight creamy, gel-like texture to it and it dries into a matte finish. When swatching, you'll notice specks of very tiny glitz mixed in to the foundation but you'd hardly notice that when you apply it only face. Not sure why but that's how this works.

You'd appreciate the small tip dispenser for more control. This 30g plastic bottle is tiny which either you'll love or hate. For the price though (Php399), I wouldn't mind the amount I get from each purchase. Downside it that it only has 3 shades which might be a problem for some especially those with darker skin tones (Nude, Shell, and Pure Beige). What I have here is Nude, which is the lightest already but I think is slightly darker on my now NC25 skin.

Yes, it really photographs well and it does stay put once applied, but oilies creeped out afer 2-3 hours from application. So staying power may not be as attractive to those who are looking for the same. Nothing though at a good blotting paper and powder won't solve so I don't consider this much as a downside.

Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Dual Powder Foundation in Nude | Php499

How this addiction to the Ideal Luminous line started, Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Dual Powder Foundation makes a good setting powder for any kind of foundation. It gives that highlighted look, blurring our my pores and covering more of my skin's imperfections. This dual powder really photographs well no matter what base you use. I love how it smoothens out my skin, giving that illusion of a perfect skin. It's very lightweight and the consistency is smooth, not powdery or chalky at all. It feels silk against the skin.

It comes in a square compact with a square sponge. You can use this either wet or dry. I haven't had time to try out the mwet method for this one but I think it would suit oilier skin since it will dry into a matte finish. Perhaps at my next review, I'll show you the result of applying this dual powder wet. And best of all, it's only Php449!

I really love this combination of liquid foundation and dual powder compact. My skin never looked so radiant and blooming! Even with troubled skin, I now have a go-to pair of base that can help me look good in front of the camera.

I definitely recommend you grabbing Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation with SPF 15 PA++ and Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Dual Powder Foundation when you can. Don't let this two escape you!
