Product Review: Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipsticks (Photos, Swatches)
Did you know that I studied in Ilocos Norte? Laoag to be exact in my second and fourth year of highschool? Yup! I did!And do you know how we got all polished and ready for parties and events in our school? No, we don't have malls, Watsons or lots of beauty stores there before (I heard Laoag's much more improved now. Can't wait to visit!).
My friend Loraine and I visited Avon and other direct selling stores to get our makeup fix. Avon is much more affordable and they have makeup intended for teens. Remember those cute pink and packaging? I use to hoard them like crazy. Yes, even in the province, you really can't take the kikay out of me. I can actually say that girls of Laoag are very much stylish. Just take for example Camille Farinas-Mathay who's been on the style spotlight consistently.
Of course, we still try those cute stuff now and again.. but we're grown ups now and would want to check out the more classier line from their collection. One of those is the new Ultra Moisture Ricch Lispticks, a much improved popular line that boosts moisture to the lips and give color that exudes elegance.
I've always loves lipsticks that has the glossy effect to make application faster. Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick is exactly that and more as it contains sun protection, too. The shades are undeniably wearable and suits the Asian skintone.
What I love..
- Variety of shades in different finishes
- Shades that fits most skintones
- Love the glossy effect with the sticky feel
- Easy to apply
- Doesn't settle on lip wrinkles
- Provide lips sun protection
- Nice Packaging (and love that it's shrink wrapped)
- Affordable at Php299 per tube
- Doesn't dry out lips, instead it keeps it supple and moisturized
What I don't
- Lipstick seems shorter compared to other lipsticks
- Doesn't have long staying power after eating and drinking
Coral Fantasy - will suit most Filipina skin and the finish is flawlessly beautiful! My favorite from the line actually as I've not much coral lippies in my stash.
Deep Pomegranate - a purplish lipstick for an edgier effect
Sheer Spice - not really my kind of shade but I think it depends on a certainly look I'm doing.. if I want to stand, I'd use this with a burnt raisin eyes and bronzed up face.
Pink - Reminds me of MAC Bombshell
Sheer Buff - sheer indeed but buildable.. will give that full lips effect from the gloss.
Barely There - isn't really, but it washes out my lips just a tad but in a very pretty way especially when used in smokey eyes of green or bronze
Pale Rose - reminds me of MAC Fearie Glen
Sheer Berry - great to wear alone and to keep on hand for parties. I love pigmentation and gives your lips the pink juicy effect.
Coral Fantasy, Deep Pomegranate, Sheer Spice, Pink

I love that Avon is continuously coming out with really impressive products. I can't believe that they are in their 100th year! And it's beauty company that is mainly ran by women at that.. :) I guess, that the reason why they never ran out of new products that women could use because women are behind in this phenomenal company. :)
Lipstick is a lipstick, I say. But if you're on a look out for a mositurizing, tons of colors to choose from, super affordable lipstick; then Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick. If not, I'm sure Avon has other lisptick that might spark your interest.
