Here's the dear daughter looking so good at some of Hello Comet's designs. We love the romper sooo much but the daddy got a little shookt when he learned that it's worn without an inner top. LOL! Poor daddy. But yeah, we wear this utside with a tanktop or shirt. It's only during this shoot that I stayed true to the style. Isn't it cute?

Gotta ghetto up the style on the pants. I remember wearing my jogging pants same way during my TLC-fanning phase.

So adorbs!!

So glad her shoes from matches her outfit.

This bubble dress is super nice. It's garterized on the bottom so it would hug Claud's legs. It reminded me of my bloomers in Elementary at Holy Spirit.

She's really ahd to shoot. She was getting pissed at this point and refuses to cooperate.

Thank got for burst mode, I got a decent one right here.

Yup! She's pissed.

Walking away now!

I was already feeling feverish last Wednesday but that didn't stop me from going to the 1-day Only #SMLadiesNight event! It's SM Woman's 50% OFF on their house brands from 6PM to 9PM. The matter of fact is, I've been enjoying their SALE for weeks now since some of their items are already marked down to Php50%. But last Wednesday EVERYTHING was!!! So imagine me doing the happy dance when I learned about it!

I couldn't be more lucky because the brands on SALE are my current go-to brands! SM Woman, SM Woman Careers, SM Woman Basics and GTW by SM. I already find their prices reasonable and affordable to begin with so to have them at 50% off is like hitting the jackpot.

I didn't waste time because the good stuff were flying off the racks like craycray! Good thing I already know my size! Woot!

And to make it a little sweeter for all the shopper, spend a certain amount and you get some GC's back!

For every P1000, you get 100 SM Woman GC
For every P2500, you get 300 SM Woman GC
For every P5000, you get 700 SM Woman GC

By 9PM, I was carrying 3 full bags of clothes that costs about 12 to 13,000 but paid only half for it!! What a steal! :)

Don't feel bad that you missed this because they will have another one! So watch out for it at SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Aura and SM Mall of Asia! Can't wait to go to the next one!

My #OOTD is SM Woman and SM Careers, of course!

This is not something to miss! So better stay tuned on SM Woman FB page for updates!

Incorporating my crazy obsession with the shade mint, into my outfit.

If you've been seeing a lot of teal and mint, there's a reason. Fashion and design are motivated by the color of the year. For 2013, it's emerald. But I guess, many of us didn't want so much of the darkness of emerald and leaned towards more on the livelier shades.

dress from Forever 21 (SM Aura); bag from Michikoshoppes; shoes from Celine
necklace: Accessorize; bracelet: Envy at Watsons; watch: Guess

I love the rain, I really do. But I wish that it's always Spring. So last Saturday, when I saw the sun shining bright, I remember having this dress and I thought it paired well for what I was about to do that day. To enjoy a relaxing afternoon and meet my ultimate favorite actress. :)

It was that kind of outfit that I thought was so put together that I had to take a picture of it. Sarah of FashionEgglplant came to the rescue and agreed to take my outfit shot. I was so conscious! I didn't know what to do that I made a blunder of it half the time. Thank God, she was a good photographer and we got a few good shots. I guess I'm still not that confident in posing for OOTD photos. Must practice!

I like big bags that I can carry my whole life in! This blush tote bag from Michikoshoppes, can carry all my gadgets (including my Dslr) along with all my beauty products and other bag essentials. It's an ideal office bag since it can fit my laptop, too. And it comes in a lot of shades.

Thanks, Sarah, for taking my photos!

Dressing up for my body had been a struggle. Especially when I started to gain weight. I admit that it took a toll on me and my confidence was quite affected. There's nothing like a nice pair of jeans and onesies. Can you believe that some of the clothes I'm wearing in are at least 3 or 4 years old? The Forever21 floral print onesies, I got when it first opened here in the Philippines. The jeans, much older since I got it when Promod invited us to their store in 2009 or 2010. It does pay to choose timeless pieces that you can mix and match as years go by and still making it work for the current trend.

And since I'm not the type to care if I keep on wearing the same clothes everyday, I don't mind showing this outfit. I also think  it's inspiring that I get to show you how I wear the same clothes and mix and matching them with the rest of the stuff I own.

Do you also have clothes from years back?

The blazer I got a year ago from F21 when their Mall of Asia store opened. The belt was a gift from SM Accessories. The So! Fab shoes are replacements for the worn out ones I've used for nearly a year. :)

Blazers are such a staple for me. Even before it became popular back around 2 or 3 years ago, I've been sporting them with jeans and heels (sometimes flats) in Law School. I just love how it instantly improves an outfit making it appropriate for work or events. When in doubt, I pair it with a blazer.

Slim belts are definitely a staple for petite girls like me. Not only does it gives an illusion that we are slimmer, it also makes us look taller all with it being proportion with our height. And getting them in tan or earth shades gives it more mileage.

love the gold details in these shoes and it's only php799!

As for the shoes, you can count on me to always choose nude or shades similar to it, it's the best shade for all sorts of outfit. When it comes to shoes, I try to keep it low key and easy to match with so I get my money's worth. :)

How do you choose your shoes? For functionality or just coz they're pretty?

Our 1950's Mafia Christmas Party at work was last December 20, 2012. And quite a serendipity coz if the Mayans were right (and Thank God they weren't), at least I was wearing this cute outfit from Yishion. We partied the last few hours of the night at then met December 21st with good company and good music at Prive! :)

I know a lot of people would have wanted to spend the last minute of their lives with their loved ones. But since I'm one who let fate decides, I was quite happy to go out while swaying to good music with a drink in my hand.

This Yishion lace black dress (Php1999.75) that I got from the new The District Mall at Cavite, totally brought more confidence in me! An LBD is always a great choice for ladies like me! I love the adorable tutu-styled skirt!  I may be chubby and quite packing on the pounds but this dress brought out my body's best features! It gave me an hourglass shape that I didn't have and it hugged my curves in all the right places.

And I was even wearing 2013's color, emerald green, as accents to my cute little black dress. :)

Partnered with gorgeous hair from the talented hands of Sir Sam of  Salon Beauvoir, I think I did a good job in channeling a 50's vibe especially a Norma Jean Baker/Marilyn Monroe one. :)

Dress: Yishion; Leggings: Bianca Velerio Leg Love: Shoes Ferretti: Necklace and Bracelet: SM Accesories: Watch: Guess; Earrings: Adora from Pond's.

Every Friday, I make an effort to dress up just in case the office mates and I decide to do more than just get drinks at our local bar. And what I good thing I did because last Friday, I found myself dancing the night away with Vodka Redbull on my hands and good music in my ears at Relik Tapas Bar and Restaurant!

After Harvest Bar and Resto, we hit up at Relik and danced the night away. It's been awhile since the last time I went to a club and danced my heart out. Best part of it was that the BF was with me so we got to act like kids again and enjoy the music. It was one terrific night.

I went all out with my accessories and wore my uber funky chic Feather Tassel necklace from Things That Matter and paired it with my own brand of bracelet.

For the office look, I kept it simple with the plain white tee, floral skirt and ballet flats.

Plain White T-Shirt from a Tiangge
Floral Peplum skirt is from SM Department Store
Ballet Flats is from So! Fab
Satchel Bag is from Forever 21
Necklace is by Things That Matter
Bracelet: by me

For the night time, I decided to wear a blazer and converted my MNG makeup kit bag into a clutch bag. But I didn't get a chance to bring both since it was too hot and humid that evening.

Blazer from Forever 21
Nude Blush Peep-toe Shoes from So! Fab
Makeup kit turned clutch bag is from MNG

I personally love this day to night transition look. The floral peplum skirt gives that feminine touch to my otherwise plain outfit. But then again, I'm known for having a pretty plain style... meaning that I love my plain white shirts to a fault.

You'll notice that I wear a lot of So! Fab shoes. They fit my style perfectly and they have a lot of comfortable wedges. Not to mention that their shoes are affordable. I stick to buying their shoes prized at P799 to P1299. :)

What do you think? Do you like this look on me?

If you like seeing OOTD posts, please leave your comments below. I'm not trying to be fashionista but just showing you what I do with the minimal number of outfit in my closet. Hehehe!

Sorry to show you guys photos of me, so early on a Monday morning. :)

I've recently come to terms that I am now a member of the plump society. Of course, naturally, I was depressed when I realize how "fat" I was getting. People tend to be mean with their comments when they see me and I can't help but feel hurt. But lately, I've embraced my new body type.

Since I know I gained this weight by letting myself go, I'm trying to find ways to lose the excess pounds by eating healthier and exercising. But I am in no hurry. What's important now is to just be healthy and eat a balanced diet (oh how hard that is!!!).

For the past week, I've been invited to a few events that sort of requires for me to dress up a little. Of course, it was a bit hard fitting into old clothes. Thanks to Spanx, Inchess Off, Maidenform and Wacoal, I can still manage to wear some old dresses I have in closet. I should be conscious with all the fat in my arms, chest and tummy, but I'm hardly feeling anything. Eh ganun eh. Mataba ako ngayon. I can't stop living my life just because I gained 20 pounds. What would happen to me if I feel sorry for myself?

And I can't let my weight dictate what I have to wear! No, sir! I can't!

At Salon De Ning, Manil;a Peninsula for an Avon event

dress: forever 21; shoes: trunkshow; bag: fendi; bracelet: shen's addiction accessories; watch: rolex; earrings: avon accessories

At Opus, Resort's World for Shu Uemura x Wong Kar Wai Event

jumpsuit: pink manila; belt: forever 2; bag: fendi; shoes: so! fab (not seen); bracelet: shen's addiction accessories; necklace: forever 21; earrings: forever 21; watch: rolex

Looking at how I dress now, I'm definitely not the girl who use to settle for plain shirts and jeans. I'm quite proud of myself to be able to summon the confidence to don these clothes.

It took a while to gather spunk and self confidence but thanks to few inspirations like Oprah, America Ferrera, The Plump Pinays and Santana Lopez, I have no reason to think that I'm limited to frumpy outfits.

What's important is that I'm enjoying my life, having fun with friends and getting to feel at ease with my own body!

So if you're like me... don't feel bad at all. Instead, let the world know that you won't let the excess pounds stop you from living your life.

Happy monday, peeps!! :)

Promod Top; Promod Jeans; Parisian Shoes, Aldo Bag;
Pashmina Shawl (gift from Alma)

I'm not really into jeans since I started gaining weight. But what the heck! This pair fits me like a glove and it makes me look slimmer than I really am. Thanks to Tara who had a good eye when everything around us was so chaotic that even with a drink in tow, she managed to grab a real nice jeans. :) Elaine and I, seduced with how it complimented the svelte Tara, each grab a pair, too.

Promod's Denim Bar

Jeans have revolutionized women over the century and I think it speaks of freedom and independence. Imagine how taboo it was to wear trousers or pants before. But now, it's practically in every women's closet. :)

Promod's Denim Bar

Boy, am I glad to be born in a world that women have more freedom... and not just about clothing. :)

The next day of my trip to Cebu was filled with fun activities. Going around Cebu City; trying Zubuchon and meeting Market Man; and my favorite, checking out Kenneth Cobonpue's Show Room! The place was filled with his beautiful furniture. I saw the bed commissioned by Brad Pitt for Madox. The place was oozing with talent and I wish I could bring home even just a piece. Of course, I can't afford it yet... In the future!!

Forever 21 Zip-up print dress, SM Deparment Store White Tube Top

For the day ahead, I wore a dress that's been hanging quite a while in my closet. I thought to bring it on my trip to Cebu because I think it's cute to wear it sight seeing. It wasn't so bad after all since I ate waaaay waaaay too much Zubuchon lechon that wearing jeans would have caused me discomfort.

And to think I almost didn't purchase this dress. :)

much love,
Shen

The ribbon cutting at the event I went to needed for me to be in a decent attire. I don't want to look OP when amidst dressed up people  but coming from the flight and a bit of travel, I wanted something comfy. Malay mo, something happened (Thank God nothing did)... so no skirts and shorts.

That's why I decided to break in the tan harem pants I got at Pink Manila. It's the only Harem Pants that fitted me nicely and didn't feel the need to have it tailored for my height. Just in time to save me from my outfit dilemma. Although everyone one else was waaay dressier than I was, at least I looked okay and a little fasyon pa rin.

Forever 21 Patchwork White Shirt, Pink Manila Harem Pants, Celine Beige Wedges, Accessorize Oversize Swallow Necklace, Shen's Addiction Egyptian Double Wrap Bracelet, Kenneth Cole Watch.

mantra of the day: "Stomache, in! Chest, out!" LOL!

Ok naman, di ba? I really like this. Safe, decent and neutral but at the same so unexpected of me. Partnered with my now new favorite white tee from Forever 21.

I hate bringing assortment of shoes when I travel. The Celine beige wedges I got for my birthday was a fit for all the out fits I got. Salamat, Lord!

Although my shirt was "cleavage kung cleavage!", it's a good thing I'm pround of my "bouncies." Conservative women will have a hard time wearing this.. I'm sure people from Cebu had a hard time looking at me, too! LOL!

much love,
Shen

P.S. I'm not trying to be a fashion blogger but just the next girl, I, too, enjoy a bit of fasyon. And if it hides my bilbil, who am I not to share it, di ba???
