First #FOTD as a Mommy |

It's been awhile since I really dolled up.

Since I had baby Claud, I barely had time to put on makeup on. Taking care of her is all I wanted to do from the moment she opens her eyes in the morning to the minute she closes them at night. I'm a lucky mom though because my baby is easily content. That's why I allow myself an hour or two sometimes to attend events here and there and to write here on my blog.

And when I received the invite to Pond's Beautiful Story event, I took this chance to try to glam myself up. Well just a little bit. So in between breastfeeding and rocking baby Claud to sleep, I started to spruce up.  I missed this! Don't get me wrong, I love motherhood but it really does take so much of my time. So getting to play with my makeup again was such a sweet breather. Thank God, our baby Claud wasn't so fussy.

So here's my very first Face of the Day as a Mom! :)

Can you tell that I was breastfeeding while taking this photo? :) (ang arte lang ng pose! lol!)

Products used:

1. Kiehl's Micro-Blur Skin Perfector - this lightweight skin smoother immediately minimizes the appearance of my pores and fine lines. Works really well as a face primer and it kept the oilies at bay.

2. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in Warm Beige - my ultimate foundation for everyday wear. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation is playing between light and medium coverage but still feel very lightweight. Besides, I have practically no marks to cover. It was the perfect foundation!

3. Shu Uemura Nobara Stick Foundation - another favorite. Given that my skin is way lighter than this foundation, I used it as a subtle base contour.

4. Zero Kuma Concealer (02) - another favorite and probably my most used undereye concealer.

5. Avon Luminous Pressed Foundation - I reviewed this product previously and told you how much I love the natural glow it gives. It photographs beautifully, too, so I went and used it.

6. Happy Skin Feeling Scupltacular Face Contour Kit - for softer and natural looking contour and highlight, I prefer to use this brand. It melds against the skin really well. It's not chalky so working it in is a breeze.

7. MAC Extra Dimension Blush in Mountain High (LE from Alluring Aquatic Collection) - I just love the new blushes coming out lately and MAC Extra Dimension is definitely up in the pedestal with its quality. This silky blush glides beautifully on the cheeks giving it that natural luminous effect. Yes, it looks kind of scary on the pot.. but no, blush provides just enough flush to the cheeks.

8. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink - officially my favorite gel liner. I love the matte finish and true to its words, it is the longest wearing gel liner. I feel as if one of the Bobbi Brown models on her books whenever I use this liner.

9. Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara - the mascara that gives me the appearance as if I'm falsies. It doubles lashes with a few swipes! I'm super impressed with this mascara.

10. Snoe Beauty What's Brow Waterproof Eyebrow Gel - similar to Makeup Forever's brow gel, this one works great at framing my currently very thick brows. It's one of the best brow product to use for important events when you need your brows really defined and looking "artistahin." LOL!

11. K-Palette Real Lasting Brow Mascara 24H - as finishing touch to my brows and  for slight dimension, I topped it off with the new brow mascara from K-Palette. The mini brush provides precision when applying. And what's best is that it only catches enough product for a natural finish.

12. MAC Peachstock Matte Lip color - this look actually revolved around this lipstick. When I saw MAC Senior Artist Caitlin Callahan wearing this shade, I knew I had to use it again. It's my favorite nude lipstick since it flatters my skin tone well and doesn't wash me out at all.

For the eyes, I decided that my Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Palette had the perfect colors for the look I was going for. I sorely missed wearing purple eyeshadow and this really brought me back.

Looking at these photos, I realize that despite the huge change in my life, I am still the same Shen. I look the same, I feel the same. I'm still the funny girl who loves making people laugh. I'm still the girl who loves the freedom that makeup provides me. It is just that I'm happier now, a bit more complete and settled in life.

How's this as a first FOTD now that I'm a mom? :) Will I still pass as a beauty blogger?
