Arts, wines, and sweets - a private Tuscan-inspired wine-tasting event for homeowners was recently held at the Alfresco di Amore at Portofino in Villar Land. 

 
With a warm and inviting atmosphere, homeowners and guests had the opportunity to try three wines from different parts of the world - red, white, and bubbly, paired with canapes, cheeses, and sweets, each personally selected by Winery PH sommelier Chie Gatchalian. 

Residents and guests indulged in decadent, gourmet bites and relaxing jazz music.  While enjoying the wines, they were surrounded by the beautiful environment of Amore and its charming landscapes. 

Amore at Portofino celebrates Tuscan's love for art, food, and culture through various activities exclusively organized for its homeowners. 

The exclusive event allowed homeowners to learn about and taste an amazing selection of wines. Knowledgeable wine experts from Winery PH were on hand to tell the stories and subtleties behind each bottle of the wine selections poured throughout the night.

The attendees also had the chance to mingle with the representatives of Winery PH and learn more about their products. The wine experts shared the different techniques on how to taste wine and understand one’s palate, tips for food and wine pairing, as well as the different aspects of making the wine and getting it into the bottle. 

Both wine connoisseurs and novices enjoyed the artistic wine experience and the opportunity to socialize and enjoy cheerful moments with fellow homeowners.

It’s not just affecting us physically though, it also extracts a heavy toll mentally and emotionally. Even within our homes, the threat of uncertainty looms inside our living spaces.

I don't know about you but receiving my meralco bill monthly feels like I'm receiving my class cards in subjects I know I didn't do so well. In my case, we use aircon a lot longer given I have two children that gets easily irrate when the weather is too hot. We also live in condominiuLm complex fronting the sunrise that makes us uncomfortable in the afternoon. We trly work so hard in order to meet the demands we need from our basic needs.

Thank God that Meralco is being purdent and a lot more strategic in sourcing our power. This month, February of 2020, we are actually going to experience lower bill rates compared to the previous months. The overall rate for a typical household consuming 200kWh decreased by P0.59 to P8.86 per kilowatt hour (kWh), its lowest level in two years, from last month’s P9.45 per kWh. Such a household will see a decrease of around P118 for their total electricity bill this month.

How amazing is that. This is great news for anyone who are paying their Meralco bills!

Why is this? Like I said, Meralco is doing the best they can to lower the cost of electricity and that mean sourcing it from different companies. Thankfully, San Miguel Energy Corporation, South Premiere Power Corporation, and AC Energy, charges lower generation cost! This is the second month we will be experiencing this. That means more savings and we can do more for our family with the extra budget!

It's always fun to bring my kids with me to an event and this one is a little bit special because I wanted Claud to see Andrea Brillantes in person. We met her once for an SM Kids event where they both modeled a bit but that was years ago!



We all know it's very important for our kids to have good role models. Seeing Andrea in some of her ads for Careline, Claud really finds inspiration in her. So naturally, even if this momma knows how tiring it would be to bring my kids with me to an event, I did!



And it did not disappoint because the event was held at the spacious SM North The Block Activity Area. We park at the North tower and already there, you would see how great SM built the place.

We're going to get a little domesticated here because I seriously think that I should've had this blog post a long time ago because this is one of the household products I've been using far longer than any products I own! So, what do you think of me doing a product review of some of my favorite household items? Well, sit tight. You're getting one!



Joy Dishwashing Liquid recently sent over this huge box of their NEW Joy Lemon Variant. My favorite is actually the calamansi but who cares. What's important is that they both function the same way and that's to get rid of all the grease in my pans and dishes.

You've seen the commercial, that one drop thing that can clean a whole lotta plate. You see Joy practically everywhere, especially in households that cooks a lot of Filipino type dishes. Now this is what I noticed, those friends or family of mine who don't use Joy, they don't cook a lot of the greasy Pinoy food like Kalderata, Kare-kare, Sinigang, Liempo, etc. These types of food cling to your pans and to your dishes... and Oh God, do they cling to your lunch boxes!

And in all my years of washing dishes (I love washing dishes), only Joy can get rid of the greasy icky smell of sinigang from a Tupperware. You know what I mean!



What I didn't realize though that Joy is especially formulated with a special amphilic polymer called, HOD, encapsulates grease easily. To understand it, you have to think of Oil Makeup Remover or Micellar Water. It basically does the same thing but with food grease. This is why Joy can promise a true ZERO SEBO (Zero grease) results to us.

So now that I live a yaya-less life, I actually made sure that I got stocks of Joy because I don't ever want to run out of it. But I don't have to tell you really how good Joy is because they just broke their former record and doubled it by washing 17,500 plates using a 495 ml bottle! What a feat, di ba? They actually filled the San Juanico Bridge form end to end with plates. Ang galing!

This of course was celebrated with a Salu-salu and just imagine how many dishes they need to clean when the celebration started in San Juanico and Metro Manila. Personally, I just find it incomparable but more than the number of dishes that is washed, what's important is how clean my dishes are and it's only with Joy I truly feel the confidence. So confident I also use Joy to wash my synthetic makeup brushes. It is just that tough on that it easily breaks down oils and pigments. Sa sebo at pagkain pa kaya?
