Just before the rain started to make an appearance, I made a farewell look for spring with my favorite BYS Palette. It rivals my Urban Decay Book of Shadow in pigmentation and color selection. Can you believe that this 32 piece eye shadow palette costs less than Php700? Yup, it's that affordable.

The look is fairly easy to do. To recreate this look, you only need to do the following:

  1. Prime the eyes with a champagne eye shadow base (Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin) to avoid creasing enhance the color of the eye shadows.
  2. With a flat paddle eye shadow brush, slowly pat the a bright green eye shadow (BYS Colour Perfectionist Palette, Php675) onto the lids until the crease area.
  3. Define the crease and darken the outer V of the upper lid with a dark green shadow (BYS Colour Perfectionist Palette, Php675) with a blending brush. Wing the shade out to elongate the eyes.
  4. Brighten up the eyes with vibrant cobalt blue shadow (BYS Colour Perfectionist Palette, Php675)  and pat them on the outer upper lids. Bring it down to the lower lashline, apply sparingly.
  5. Give your look an extra kick and instead of black gel liner, use a bright blue gel liner (Laura Mercier Cobalt Gel Liner, Php895). Wing it a little for a whimsy feel.
  6. Line the waterline with an equaly bright blue liner (BYS Auto Eyeliner with Sumdger, Php195)
  7. Complete the look and go crazy with a mascara (K Palette 1 Day Lash Perm Volume and Curl Mascara, 1,200)

Pinks go so well with a bright eye makeup look. I went for NYX HD blush in Apricot and NARS Gloss in Angelika to pair with it. A good decision if I say so myself. :) If you're face is looking bloated, don't forget to contour.

There are just too many things to be angry about. The traffic, the boss you can't seem to please, the continues weight gain or a badly composed email proposal sent to you. Instead of being grateful for the blessings we have, we rant.

It's such a normal thing for us to feel bad about ourselves, to feel as if the world is conspiring against us. The worst is that we even cuddle the insecurity and pain, sing lullabyes to it and treat it like it's the most precious things. Not realizing how ugly it's making us inside.

Given that I do that a lot, the days past has thought me to be more positive. To notice the beautiful things in my life. It's hard. It's not something you can do in a day but like most habit goes, you just need to keep on doing it and it's gunna be easier.

Little things like a new makeup product. Don't you just love opening a new box of lipstick and trying it on? This time, mine was a new mascara from K Palette. It's the 1 Day Lash Perm Volume Curl Mascara, a predecessor of their best-selling 1 Day Lash Perm. This mascara comes in a purple tube.

The Brush: A unique spoon-like brush that helps transfer formula to the lashes that I think helps volumize it. The tip is pointed that reaches the inner and outer corners of the eyes. Since my eyes protrudes, the lashes on those parts tend me be a bit difficult to reach making my lashes uneven when I apply mascara. That's why I go for mascaras with a sharp point to reach it.

The Formula: It has a creamy sticky consistensy that dries immediately. Hence avoiding transfer to the upper portion of the eyes.

The Curl: First off, I love the promise of 1Day lash perm. Not so many mascaras can promise that. Even if you for got to curl your lashes, this mascara can maintain the curl.

The Volume: Base on the photos above, you can see that the mascara have effortlessly provided my lashes enough volume to brighten up my eyes but without the clumpy effect. And making it look natural.

The Staying Power: Good as always. Impressed by K Palette's other products, it didn't surprise me that 1Day Lash Perm Volume Curl lives up to its name to provide lashes the curl and volume for a day (or more!). I've used this for both work and play and it has stood it's ground quite well.

The Removal: It's easy to remove! No panda eyes even if you don't have a proper makeup remover. All you need is a warm water and your gentlest facial cleanser and slowly wash your eyes to remove it.

Overall, I love this mascara. If you're after for volume, curl, length and lasting power and one that still looks natural, I sugesst grabbing this one. There's hardly a room for improvement if you ask me. Well, except that I hope that they include volume curl in the tube for easy preference once I toss the box. :)

Other than that, this is one mascara you should not skip!
