I was like a cat purring over the pretty shiny golds and silvers of LockIts Jewelry on display at the quaint Vanilla Cupcake Bakery in BGC. There were flatlay tables with these interchangeable necklaces laid on fur, vintage type writers and trays. I was oohhing and ahhing on this novelty but at the same time, it felt familiar because it reminded me so much of the locket necklace my mom gave me when I was young but lost during Typhoon Ondoy.

This Summer, Pink Sugar gives us amazing nude and mauvey hues with their Creamy Matte lipsticks! This collection is L-O-V-E! They are my source for living now becuase they just hit the sweet spot for anyone who are into nudes right now. They also launched a lip and cheek tint collection that could rival the Kylie Lip Kits but this Creamy Mattes are the ones that caught my beauty addict attention. So yes, Pink Sugar, take our money! Take all of it!!

Bobbi Brown always says the right words. I love that her approach to beauty and cosmetics are revealing our worth and finding what works for us. As a businesswoman and an artist, Bobbi Brown found a balance wherein she gets to have a day job and still be able to give women exactly what they need (and yes, there's a few wants in there, too!). But Bobbi on the onset is a practical woman. From her health, to her life and so it reflects on her brand, too! This simple philosophy brought her brand all over the world,including our country!

Bobbi's Summer collection for year 2016 is all about sunkissed and neutral beauty worthy of Malibu shores. What caught my fancy are the Nude Finish Illuminating Powder. That has the perfect combination of highlight and contour. It's subtle and sheer and can be used as a finishing powder to get that natural lit-from-within effect. Tammy Pineda, chief makeup artist for Bobbi Brown Philippines, shared that she use this instead as a setting powder. Used on bare skin or over makeup, these babies go well with your Shimmer Bricks, Skin Foundation and blushes. I think this is the perfect thing to get this Summer!

A lot of us who were invited at the intimate launch of this collection were drawn to the Golden shade as it matches well with our medium fair skin tone. It doubles a contour for those will lighter skin and can be used as a neutral shadow palette. The finish, as always, is buttery. Once applied, the skin looks immaculately set but none of that flatness of a regular powder. It gives intant dimension andglow that doesn't look oily or shimmery at all.

Next that I tried is the New Skin Foundation Cushion Compact with SPF 50 PA+++. It contains Pink Silk Tree Extract and Caffeien that rejuvenates and re-energizes the skin. It's made to be air-tight to ensure freshness and longevity even with frequent use. It's also only released here in Asia! Bobbi Brown made this exclusively for us! 

I am a big fan of Bobbi's Skin Foundation and so I was excited to try this! So far, my skin loves the medium coverage and creamy texture that feels like a BB Cream. I love the glow it gives and when set with powder, my skin looks really nice. I'll show more of this on a separate review! There, you will see a before and after photo!

Bobbi believes in giving your skin the best and to nourish it with healthy food choices. That also includes using skin care that boosts the skin! Face Masks are definitely one of the surest and fastest way to achieve that and so Bobbi Brown created this Trio Mask - Instant Detox (great for removing excess dirt, reduce blemishes and tighten pores), Skin Nourish (similar to a sleeping pack that is ripe with moisturizing properties, and Radiance Boost (energizing facial scrub that exfoliates and brightens the skin). Used together, these three will make the skin worthy of a #IWokeUpLikeThis hashtag. 

Start off with Radiance Boost to remove dead skin cell and stimulate the skin. Next is Instant Detox wherein you tighten your pores, even heal acne and further remove deep-seated dirt. Lastly, after cleansing off the mask, you can apply Skin Nourish thinly and leave it on overnight. You'll surely wake up to a soft and fresh-looking skin the next day!

Bobbi Brown Blush Duos are crazy pigmented! Why the need for two blushes? Well, one of Bobbi's trade secret in giving that au naturel flushed look in two shades of blushes mimicing the natural flush of our cheeks. Since we blush in gradation, Bobbi teaches us to use a softer shade of blush to swipe along the cheeks. Use the darker shade and just dust it off on the top of the apples of the cheeks.  Like I said, these are really high on pigments so apply cautiously and sparingly! My pick is definitely Plum/French Pink. 

Even Bobbi's makeup brushes are well thought out. Her Angled Face Brush are made to be multi-tasking and it can be used to highlight, to apply blush and even to dust pressed powder and similar textured products. It's made with goat hair and tapered for that perfect sweep!

If you see "Long-Wear" on any of Bobbi Brown's collection, you have to get it. When she says long-wear, it means serious business. This Long-Wear Gel can last up to 24 hours and it's so easy to use. I particularly prefer pencil or powder but this easily cut to my top 5! It provides a natural finish and keeps my stray brows in place. 

A collection is not complete without a lipstick in it! The creamy-matte formulation of  newly curated shades of Bobbi Brown Art Sticks make these the ideal lip product for Summer. No icky sticky feel and the selection in this is particularly inviting because of the range of nudes! My choice was Rich Nude, nude brown lip color that is quite on trend now.

This is one of the rare times that I didn't contour and it felt okay. The blush was able to give the dimesion My face needed.The New Skin Foundation Cushion felt light against my skin. I think I need a darker shade for the brow gel but I particularly like how well it kept my brows in place. And how pretty is the Rich Nude Art Stick!
