Product Review: Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer (a new fave)

My latest favorite concealer is Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer. It's a twist tube much similar to Stila Lipglosses. It's also similar to a lot of my undereye concealers such as Prestige, Benefit and Eyeko.

Ive been having trouble with some breakouts. I've controlled them already but the bad girl in me pricked and proded it which resulted to nasty scars and darkening. It's not pretty, I tell you. Since I don't use any medication for my acne any longer, I rely on whitening products and dermatological treatments to help me even out my skintone. But we all know it won't show immediate results. It saddens me that I have yet to resort using concealers when for months I have gone by without it. Well, that's the life of a beauty enthusiast for you. Sometimes you get really good skin and sometimes well, you don't get a good skin days. :)

So, I'm glad when I got the Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer as a gift from a makeup artist contact. I was surprised with how well the product performed with my weeks of using it. With the age defying line of Revlon, it also helps combat fine lines and wrinkles. How cool is that?

Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer boasts of instantly concealing and brightening problem spots like dark under eyes. Infuse with Stone Therapy and Vitamin C which helps energize and give life to the skin. It also has anti-oxidants which help the skin's defense system. - amazon.com

I use the Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer in 002 as an all-around concealer. For concealing the dark under eyes and as spot concealing for my blemishes and reducing lines on my face.

Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer in 002
What I love about this product:
  • Easy to blend
  • Dries quickly (but not too quick)
  • Covers blemishes really well
  • Easily obtained via Revlon counters
  • Relatively affordable compared to high end brands
  • Easy to use with its twist tube pen container
  • Matches many Filipina skin tone (I'm NC 25 to 30)
  • Stays put when I'm in an air conditioned or an even-temperature room
  • Easy to store when traveling
  • No need for other brushes

What I don't:
  • Doesn't stay too long when I'm exposed to a more humid climate and starts to sweat (I have very oily and sweaty under eyes)

It definitely even out my dark under eyes and lessened the puffiness.

For those who just want something to cover blemishes that they could stash on their makeup kits, this is the product for you. I love how I could just apply this, blend with my ring finger and I'm all set. Oh wait! I do set it with powder to make it last longer. :) It's really easy to retouch with this concealer, too. So you can definitely fix your makeup posthaste.

I love the scent as well, its smells like a skin cream. The anti-aging properties must be the reason for this. Since I also apply this on my laugh lines and corners of my mouth, I'm dead sure I'm preventing premature aging in the process.

If you're like me who is always on a look out for a good concealer, this might be something you'll be interested in. After all, it's so easy to find a Revlon counter at your favorite malls.
