Colourette Newbie Tries 5 Colourette Products

It's been a while since I put on my beauty blogger hat and I miss it so much! I've been eyeing a few brands to try and Colourette is top of my list. This homegrown Pinoy brand has been making noise on socials and I see a lot of really nice products to try. They've got a lot of lip and face products that look really nice to try.

Colourtint in Ava

The beauty market is not wanting of tinted lip products but Colourtint quite stands out because Colourette is known to cater to the many shades that suit Filipina skin tones. It's a multi-use, oil-based tint that you can apply on any part of the face - eyes, lips, cheeks. Colourtint blends quite easily to a natural shade. And yes, the grapevine is true and those Tiktok videos aren't lying - these are ultra-pigmented and dries to matte finish!

I got the shade AVA which a neutral dusty rose that is quite considered a nice color on fairer skintones. Ava is flattering on me and  I like it a lot. Now that I don't go heavy on makeup, Ava is a good choice for zoom meetings, a quick trip to the grocery, or just me trying my best to feel pretty.

Coloursnap in Milk

Coloursnap is cult-fave and it's been reformulated to be a lot more pigmented and long-lasting. It comes in 8 shades that can fit any Pinay coloring. I personally don't think you need to match a safe to your skin tone but just go with what you feel like wearing. It's has a subtle dewy finish to get that K-pop princess look.

I find applying it with a semi-dense brush to be the perfect way to distribute it on the cheeks and really get that color. I'm not much into balms in palettes given how unhygienic it can get but I'm willing to give a pass. After all, their #ReadyInASnap hashtag is true to claim. Applying this is easy.

Milk seemed to be a shade I would never want for myself but given how pasty I got during this whole pandemic thing, I loved using MILK - a bright coral pink. And the fact I finally get to play more with this shade since I am not out and about really makes me happy. I also love the dewy finish since I'm not worried at looking too oily.

What to love:

  • Multi-use formula for eyes, cheeks, and lips
  • Easy to use
  • Buildable
  • Highly pigmented
  • Long-lasting
  • With Castor Oil to soothe and protect your lips from losing their moisture
  • Can be applied with a makeup brush, sponge, or just your fingertip!
  • Travel-friendly packaging for easy colour on the go

Easy Matte in Felt Cute

Oh, Gosh! When was the last time I actually swipde on a lipstick? It seemed like I survived in tints and balms the past almost two years! But Colourette's Easy Matte is easy to love. It has a velvety texture that glides onto my lips gently. It is rich and pigmented but doesn't have the heavy feel that older formulas have. Since I'm not typically a lipstick gal right now, Easy Matte's formula is a good place to start if I want to go back to blogging about makeup!

Easy Matte's tube is one to love. You don't have to worry about keeping the bullet in shade or worry about it falling off. I remember some really nice lipsticks that easily break because it's poorly packaged.

Shimmertint in Rose Quartz

Shimmertint is Colourette's multi-use liquid highlighter. It is long-wearing that melts on to the skin for that instant luminosity. I normally don't go for highlighter but I picked up this one. It passes as a blush and gives that healthy-looking glow. And you can even mix it with your foundation or top it off to complete your AsianBaddie look. I placed on top of my COlourBalm and it was bomb!

What to love:

  • Easy to use
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Intensely pigmented yet blendable
  • Provides a silky, luminous finish to accentuate areas of your face
  • Can be worn alone or on top of makeup!
  • Travel-friendly for easy on-the-go glow
  • Fits easily into any bag or pouch

No more cracked lips for this Momma. Colourbalm has the perfect glossy shine that isn't out of place in our home setting. It's lightweight , non-sticky, and very comfortable to wear.
