Jane Iredale, The Skin Care Makeup

September 22, 2011, Makati -- Jane Iredale Philippines invited Manila's beauty and fashion bloggers to see what true mineral makeup is for those who take mineral makeup seriously.

I was one of the beauty bloggers who got a chance to try and test it for myself. Known as the skincare makeup brand, Jane Iredale is the makeup for real woman who have real skin problems. With the absence of talc, parabens and other harmful ingredients, all the products are safe even for those battling the worst of skin problems.

Turn to Jane Iredale makeup when you get that "A-ha!" moment and finally decide that you want to give only the best for your skin.

Enjoy an array of complete mineral base cosmetic line. From their award-winning Liquid Mineral Foundation, Amazing Base SPF 20 Loose Mineral Powders, PurePressed Blush tones and Moonglow Golden Bronzer Quad. Give color to your eyes with Artist Eyes palette or PurePressed Triple Eye Shadow Palettes. Enhance your lashes and brow with their Longest Lash Mascara and Pure Brow Fix eyebrow. Give your puckers the some loving with Just Kissed Lip Plumbers or PureMoist LipColours and top it off with PureGloss. All of these were developed with world-renowned plastic surgeons and dermatologists.

I first knew of Jane Iredale when I was learning my way around mineral makeup and it has been earning raves here in Manila. Now it's already in several stores and available nationwide. It's always been a dream to try Jane Iredale and I'm glad I got a chance to do so during this event.

Stephanie Zubiri, Judith Barraan, Jenny Yrasuegi and Nikki Teves

Beautiful Stephanie Zubiri, owner and chef of Epicurean Kitchen, shared her experiences about Jane Iredale and why she prefers it over other makeup. Ms. Judith provided us with insights and back ground of the brand and why she chose to bring it to Manila. She believes that every Filipina deserves the best and the healthiest for the skin and she knows only Jane Iredale can deliver it. Jenny Yrasuegi feels that Jane Iredale is a great makeup for busy women who don't want their skin to suffer. Nikki looks glowing with Jane Iredale, it's amazing how the collection can be used by young and mature alike without the fear of breaking out or cause other skin problems.

To give us a preview on what Jane Iredale cosmetics can do, most of us had our makeup done using only Jane Iredale. I was very impressed with the makeover of the bloggers. Their faces wete flawless, dewy and glowing that I just had to try it out myself.

After removing all my makeup with the Magic Mitt Makeup Remover, my face was prepped with the Dream Tint Moisture Tint SPF 15 in Medium. It is almost matte in finish with a pleasant scent  that serves both as a sunscreen and  makeup base for your faoundation. Liquid Minerals Foundation in Golden Glow was used to even out my skintone. To tackle my break outs, the makeup artist used Disappear Concealer with Green Tea Extract to cover up the blemishes and to help tame down the redness blending nicely against my cracking skin. Even with the peeling  visible around my jaw and chin, the foundation worked its magic in concealing my redness. To set the concealer and foundation, PurePressed Mineral Foundation Golden Glow was used.

My eyes were then enhanced with the PurePressed Triple Eyeshadow in Pecan Chocolate and Cream To Powder Eyeliner in Black brown Plus. To define and volumized my lashes, Pure Lash and Lengthening Mascara was used. To give color to my cheeks, PurePressed Blush in Tawny was applied and color on the lips. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch the lip color used on me.

And the end result looked really nice. Even when we were dining an hour later, my skin looked incredibly fresh. It took awhile before my face become oily and even when it is, my makeup was exceptionally behaved. The foundation felt lightweight against my skin that it didn't feel I had makeup on.

Given the high price tag of Jane Iredale Makeup, I was trying to not to like the brand too much. But I failed miserably. Jane is worth every penny. No wonder celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Debra Messing, Alicia Silverstone and a lot more uses this wonder makeup. Even in the Philippines, top models, socialites and celebrated artists use Jane Iredale. To name a few: Jinky Pacquiao, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Isabel Roces, Hindy Tantoco and more.

BBFF Jheng, gets a makeup over as well. She was very happy with the foundation and dream tint. We are hoping to get a chance to buy them on for ourselves when they have promos and discounts. But we both got the Magic Mitt Makeup Remover. We were so impressed on how well it removed our layers of foundation, eye makeup and mascara! We got it during their 15% off Promo, paid only about Php750 for what used to Php895 price tag. I will definitely show them to you guys soon.

Argie is being prepped by Judith Barran, the woman who brought Jane Iredale to the Philippines.

I'm very much eager to try the Liquid Minerals Foundation that has aloe vera in it. It seemed to have tamed down my skin's redness from the TCA Peel. It's quite obvious that I am getting really excited with Jane Iredale. Who wouldn't? It's Mineral makeup in sleek classic packaging! Everything almost come in gold and you know my weakness for it.

Their fall collection for 2011 is promising. Will make a post of it in a few hours. :)
